At SpaceKnow, we build Guardian®, a platform that brings together satellite data from around the world to help people see and understand what’s happening on Earth. Guardian lets you explore vast areas through satellite imagery, using our own tools and methods to uncover insights that matter. We provide timely, accurate analyses so our customers can make confident, informed decisions.
We’re looking for someone to join our development team. We work with petabytes of satellite imagery, integrating data from both space-based and ground-based sensors. We’re always experimenting with new ways to process and present information, and we welcome fresh ideas. Here, you’ll have the freedom to explore new technologies, learn alongside passionate colleagues, and play a real part in shaping the direction of the company.
What you will do
- Design, develop and deploy systems that create the visual identity of the SpaceKnow Guardian® platform.
- Work with technologies such as Google Cloud, Docker, Kubernetes, MongoDB, RabbitMQ etc.
- Monitor, optimize and ensure the stability of our platform.
- Test driven development, with an emphasis on code review and continuous development.
Required skills
- Experience with cloud (Google Cloud, AWS, Azure).
- Knowledge of Kubernetes and Docker.
- Experience with development in one or more programming languages.
- Ability to learn new things.
- Ability to receive and give feedback.
Advantage
- Excellent Python development skills.
- Knowledge of Google Cloud Platform.
- Working knowledge of microservice architecture
- Experience with geodata, spatial algorithms and databases.
